Sample positive affirmations for the Law of Attraction

Appropriately constructed affirmations are critical to successfully attracting what you want in life. These examples will help you construct powerful affirmations.

The Law of Attraction

Powerful positive affirmations will help you effectively utilize the Law of Attraction, popularized by The Secret. The Law of Attraction states that like attracts like. Events, circumstances, and people are attracted to other people, events, and circumstances that are of like frequency of vibration. Thinking and feeling positive thoughts attracts positive situations. Conversely, negative thoughts and feelings attract more of the same.

Though the Law of Attraction is very easy to understand, it can be difficult for many people to implement because we're so used to negative, fault-finding thinking. Properly structured positive affirmations will help you keep your thinking positive and aligned with what you really want in life.

Powerful Affirmation Structure

For the utmost power and the strongest attraction, carefully construct affirmations that are first person, present tense, end-result-oriented, and filled with powerful emotion and feeling. While thoughts and words start the attraction process, it's the emotion and feeling associated (or lacking) that intensify (or weaken) the attractive force.

Sometimes it helps to see specific examples. The following sample affirmations focus on common aspects of personal development. Each of these are compatible with attracting a positive end result. Remember, it's not enough to think these affirmations. Full attractive power comes from feeling passionate emotion for the end result you desire.

Affirmations for General Well Being

Affirmations for Abundance

Affirmations for Good Health

Affirmations for Great Relationships

Affirmations for Love

Affirmations for Happiness

Modify these examples for your specific life desires, remembering to retain the structure of first person, present tense, end-result oriented, and emotional.

The following discussion is a perfect place for your favorite affirmation(s). This is also a great place to ask questions about affirmations and the Law of Attraction. If you're not already registered, it takes just a few seconds and from then on you can participate in Suite101 discussions.

Jerry Lopper :
One of my favorite personal affirmations is this:
My body is healthy, fit, and trim.

Another is this:
I look and feel good at 160 pounds.

What are your favorites?

Sandra Williams :
Great idea Jerry. I'll steal your weight affirmation only it's 145 pounds.
Also: I remain calm and peaceful and stay cheerful and positive even when chaos surrounds me.

Diane Laney Fitzpatrick :
"I'm good enough, smart enough and doggone it, people like me!"
(Just kidding - an old Saturday Night Live thing)
I'm not sure if this is an affirmation, but it helps me put into perspective whatever is going on at the time and threatening to turn my mood:
This, too, shall pass.
When things are going badly, it will pass. When things are going really, really well and you find yourself getting too heady or cocky, remember, this, too, shall pass.

That's a great affirmation. Remaining calm and peaceful is a choice and affirming it helps us remain as we wish to be in spite of all that goes on around us.
Thanks

Jerry Lopper :
Actually, I like the "I'm good enough, smart enough" affirmation. All too often we doubt our competencies; somehow others always seem better.

The "this too shall pass" may not be an affirmation, but it's a good thing to keep in mind when the bad stuff hits.

How about turning it into an affirmation such as this:
When bad things happen I know that they are temporary and will soon give way to better times.

Jerry N Simpson :
An affirmative mindset is the beginning which leads to positive actions or actually interactions. Hard times and trials bring the satisfaction of success and also teach us to rely on friends and close associates. I like Diane's explanation.

Jerry Lopper :
Race-car drivers say they win races on the curves, not the straight-aways. The curves in our lives build confidence and competence.
